QWP supported Nicolas Leutwiler is the Le Mans Cup champion driving a Porsche 911

PZ Oberer Zürichsee by TFT pilot, supported by QWP, won the drivers championship title in the 2021 Michelin Le Mans Cup, GT3 category. Nicolas Leutwiler drives a Porsche 911 GT3, together with his two teammates, and a second place in the last stage of the competition secured the overall drivers title for the Swiss driver.

The Michelin Le Mans Cup is an international automotive endurance competition, inspired by the famous Le Mans 24 Hour race. Participants are grouped in two categories, LMP3 and GP3, the competition being decided throughout six stages. The winning team receives an automatic invitation to take place in the Le Mans 24 Hour race.

Leutwiler’s victory was sealed in the last stage of the competition, which took place in Portugal, at Portimão, and was fraught with numerous incidents. The Swiss team fought until the last moment with Iron Lynx, racing a Ferrari 488 GT3 Evo, who eventually became team champions. Leutwiler began well, being in the lead position after the start, however, after two contacts with competitors, punctured tires and unscheduled pitsops, the title seamed to be further and further for the number 2 car pilot. In spite of all this misfortune, with the help of his teammates and a penalty bringing mistake from the Iron Lynx team, Nicolas’ Porsche finished second, enough for the Swiss driver to clinch the GT3 drivers title.

QWP is an exclusive Autonet brand and will remain the official partner of the PZ Oberer Zürichsee by TFT team in the future as well, contributing to Nicolas Leutwiler’s performances in seasons to come.
